THESE ARE THE GOVERNMENT’S NEW PRIORITIES

Marry Jones had a dream and a plan. But what’s our government’s plan towards us as a nation? The government sure needs to structure up means and plans that will take this nation forward and not just one step forward and two steps back, but steps for the better of its citizens as a whole and the economy as well.

“How much is too much?” To begin with, the new government needs to restructure its borrowing trends and have a limit to that so that Kenya does not transfer all its revenue to pay debts and worse, mortgage our beloved country as indeed some regimes have done. Currently our debt stands at KSh8.6 trillion, that’s too much. The new government needs to rework on growing the country’s economy.

With the country’s unemployment rate at 7.2% and the youth’s precisely is at 13.8%. This clearly is an issue that needs to be addressed if not immediately. The government needs to create jobs for its citizens, avail favorable working conditions which in the long run will help counter the poverty rate which stands at 8.9 million. This adds up to the government needs to improve on its housing plan as well.

An educated mind serves as an advantage in the modern world. Citizens need academic knowledge to battle out in matters innovation and technology development which s ever growing. All in favor of the country’s growth in the end. The government needs to educate its citizens.
